M.V. Mwande is a new 12m T-Craft Hippo 1180 open catamaran powered by 300 horsepower Mercury outboard motors.
She has a range of 120 nautical miles with a light load speed of 20 knots and cruising speed of up to 15 knots. On board she can seat 80 passengers. The top decks seats 50 and the bottom deck 30. Music, toilets, food and beverage services are available for passenger comfort. Drop down sides are deployed should the weather change.
Mv Mwande started operating on the 25th of November. With the Ilala still off the waters due to the engine problems which require more time and attention Travel Malawi Guide will keep up dating you when it will be back.
